Christmas 2013

First of all, I'm sorry I didn't finish the photo challenge... My study is asking a lot of me these days and I can't wait for my thesis to be finished...

I'm hoping to make it up to you with these christmas pictures I made with my PiP studio tableware :).

I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you had a nice christmas!

Photo challenge day 2

And for today the challenge is to make a picture with your favorite holiday movie . So here it is :).
Dus hier is is :).

{The most wonderful time of the year (don't pay attention to the cover, I had to print it because I don't have the cover here ;))}

{The most wonderful time of the year (let niet op het hoesje, ik moest hem printen want ik heb hier geen hoesje ;))}

I'm not really a person to watch movies, but it's nice to install yourself on the couch with popcorn and a warm blanket :).

Some other christmas movies I like:

Nog een aantal leuke kerstfilms:

• Borrowed hearts
• Love actually (Of course!)
• The holiday

And not really christmas but very suitable:

• All Harry Potter movies
• Julie and Julia
• Despicable me (animation film) Verschrikkelijke ikke (animatiefilm)
• No reservations
• Fawlty towers (tv serie)

I also really like the tv show of Kirstie Allsop: Kirstie's homemade christmas. I really hope they are going to repeat it here in the Netherlands since I can't watch it back at the website :(.
And of course there is Nigella Lawson with her christmas cookbook (and tv show), this really brings the christmas feelings up.

What are your favorite christmas movies?
Wat is jouw favoriete kerstfilm?

Almost Christmas!!!

It's becoming colder and the days are shortening... that means.... christmas is on it's way!!! I already started some preparations and I found a lot of inspiration on pinterest!

Two that I particular like:
http://www.eddieross.com/eddie_ross/crafts/page/14/
http://letthesparrowsfly.blogspot.nl/2012/11/diy-hoilday-ornament-garland.html (Not a wreath but a garland).

So I started this myself and it turned out pretty nice :).

{I love this color combination, as you can see in my PJ's ;)}

{Ik vind dit zo'n mooie kleurcombinatie, zoals je aan m'n pyjama kan zien ;)}

{I still need a nice ribbon to make a bow, but for now this scarf is doing the job}

{Ik heb nog een mooi lint nodig, maar voor nu even deze sjaal}

I also bought some cute little birds for in the christmas tree and a magazine for some more inspiration. Also I needed some notebooks, again the same color combination :). Guess I like this a lot at the moment ;).

Enjoy your weekend!

Fijn weekend!

Christmas peek

Although it's just autumn, I started with making christmas decorations already. Last month I ordered the pattern of Matawi's owl and the idea arised to make a bunch of them for in the christmas tree. So I started crocheting.

It's lovely to do, except for the eyes ;). I had never used safety eyelets before and I don't have the hang of it yet...

And another peek, I made this one a couple of years ago and still love it. The idea came from the magazine Ariadne at Home, but unfortunately they have removed it from the site (don't know why...)

{ sorry for the quality, it's already dark in here :( }

{ Sorry voor de slechte kwaliteit, het is hier al weer donker :) }

Have you started making christmas decorations already?

Merry Christmas

I know it's too late to wish you a Merry Christmas, but  I do hope you all did have a very Merry Christmas.

(On the door a lovely Christmas wreath made by my mum)

This year I again made mincepies, and also this year they didn't last very long :).

Almost ready for 2012!
XOXO Bambi
