What to do with...

a plain black shirt and some (dilluted) bleach!

Well on pinterest I found some examples of very cool T-shirts with animal sillhouettes, made with BLEACH! Of course I wanted to try it :). And I LOVE the result!
Op pinterest vond ik wat voorbeelden van super mooie t-shirts met dier sillhouetten, gemaakt met bleek! Dat moest ik natuurlijk proberen :). En het resultaat is SUPER!

First of all I draw and cutted out a sillhouette of a deer, and glued it to the shirt with water-soluble glue (to avoid stains, try this before).
Om te beginnen heb ik een hertenkop getekend en vastgeplakt met behanglijm (die van mij laat nl geen vlekken achter, even uitproberen van te voren).

Then I sprayed dilluted bleach on it (1 part bleach on 3 parts water), in the bathroom the bleach would only bleach out the tee and nothing else.
Daarna heb ik er bleek op gesprayd (1 deel bleek op 3 delen water), in de badkamer zodat m'n vloerkleed niet zou worden gebleekt.

Because the paper was really thin, I removed it to avoid leaking. You already see some result.
Omdat het papier erg dun was, heb ik het er snel afgehaald zodat het niet zou lekken. Je kan heel licht al wat resultaat zien.

After rinsing (a lot of rinsing!) and washing, this was the result :). Yes there was a little leaking at the antlers, but I'm still satisfied :).
Na het shirt te hebben uitgespoeld (meerdere malen) en gewassen te hebben, was dit het resultaat ;). Ja er is toch wat bleekwater gelekt, maar ik vind hem erg mooi geworden :).

However, if you try it, really be carefull! Keep bleach away from children and be aware that bleach will stain everything and can irritate your skin. It is at your own risk!
Als je dit zelf uitprobeert, wees voorzichtig! Hou bleek weg bij kinderen en let op dat bleek overal op vlekt en je huid kan irriteren. Proberen is op eigen risico!

High tea

Seamless Circle Scarf

Since I'm on Ravelry it seems like a whole new world has opened up for me! So many patterns, and so many good ideas to alter patterns! Love it! I'm much more into crocheting than into knitting, but a friend of mine likes knitting better and I decided to give it a try with this pattern.
At first it was hard, because I choose very fluffy and way too thin wool. But with thicker wool it really isn't that hard!

Sinds ik lid ben van Ravelry lijkt het wel alsof er een nieuwe wereld open is gegaan! Zo veel patronen en ook zoveel ideeen om patronen aan te passen! Geweldig! Ik ben meer een haakster dan een breister, maar een vriendin van mij breit liever en dus wilde ik dat ook eens proberen, met dit patroon.
In het begin was het best lastig, want ik had vrij dunne heel pluizige wol uitgezocht. Maar met dikkere wol is het eigenlijk heel makkelijk!

I love the result even better than the scarves in the shops.
Ik vind mijn sjaal zelfs mooier geworden dan de sjaals die nu in de winkels liggen.

However, if I'm going to make this pattern again, I will make it shorter and wider. Then it closes better around my neck.
Toch, als ik hem nog een keer maak, dan maak ik hem iets korter en wat breder. Dan sluit hij net wat beter aan. 

And I already started a new project... Also a scarf, but I'll show that later ;).
En ik ben ook al weer met een nieuw project begonnen... Weer een sjaal, maar dat laat ik later zien ;).

For now a weekend treat ;).
Voor nu nog een weekend traktatie ;).

Dotty 2!

And another cute sheep is born! This time a little different, since this one had to be child proof. Yes, thats right, a new baby girl was born and now I have a second cousin :). So I made the pattern "Floortje the Sheep" (from Christel Krukkert, also available via Ravelry) again, but now without the fluffy wool etc.

En een nieuw schaapje is geboren! Deze keer een beetje anders, want ze moest wel kindveilig worden. Ja! Mijn eerste achternichtje is geboren :). Dus ik heb "Floortje het Schaap" (van Christel Krukkert, ook via Ravelry te vinden) nog een keertje gemaakt, maar nu zoder de pluizige wol etc.

Very different from the first one, but also cute, at least I think so :).
Heel anders dan de eerste, maar toch ook schattig, vind ik :).

 

I also added a little flower to give it something extra, and to be able to use some pink ;).

Ik heb er ook een klein bloemetje op gemaakt om het iets extra's (roze's) te geven ;).

Autumn has started

Autumn is really kicking in this year. Last year I was laying in the grass in October, but I guess I won't this year...
Het is meteen goed herfst dit jaar. Vorig jaar lag ik in oktober nog in het gras, dat lukt dit jaar niet meer...

But autumn also has it's charm, pinecones, chestnuts etc and all the lovely colours to come!
Maar ook de herfst kan heel mooi zijn, met dennenappels, kastanjes etc en al die mooie kleurtjes!

It's time to:
Take walks in the woods.
Drink hot cocoa or tea with caramel taste.
Hide on the couch under a couple of lovely blankets and magazins.
Find your slippers back to keep your feet comfy.
Warm yourself at the fireplace.

Het is weer tijd om:
Lekker in het bos te wandelen.
Warme chocomel of thee met karamelsmaak te drinken.
Je lekker op de bank te nestelen met een heleboel dekens en tijdschriften. 
Je pantoffels weer op te zoeken om je voeten warm te houden.
Lekker bij de openhaard te gaan zitten.


I already collected someautumn treasures and combined with my squirrels my room is ready for autumn!
Ik heb al wat herfst schatten verzameld en gecombineerd met mijn eekhoorntjes is mijn kamer al klaar voor de herfst!

Thrift store treasures #3

And finally the last part of the thrift store treasures I haven't shown yet.
First of all my Royal Duton tea cups! These are lavender rose and old country roses, lovely, huh?
En eindelijk het laatste deel van de kringloopvondsten die ik nog niet had geshowd.
Allereerst mijn Royal Duton kopjes! Dit zijn Lavender Rose en Old country roses, schattig toch?

Then a lovely doiley, I fell in love with the moment I saw it. I love that it is pure white, which makes it a bit more modern to me.
En dan dit kleedje, zodra ik het zag was ik verkocht. Vooral omdat het echt spierwit is, vind ik het best modern.

And then some founds from a while ago. Dan nog wat vondsten van een tijdje geleden.

It's the most pretty decanter I've ever seen :). And the rack above is very suitable for variation, I've also used it for candles and combinations with (floating) candles and flowers.
Dit is de meest verfijnde karaf die ik tot nu toe tegen ben gekomen :). Het rekje is heel geschikt om mee te varieren, er kunnen (drijf)kaarsjes in en bloemetjes en ook een mix is erg leuk.

I'm also still in love with these two, I think they are ment for holding curtains open.
Ook deze twee vind ik nog steeds geweldig, volgens mij zijn ze bedoeld om gordijnen open te houden.

Then I also found a lovely little table with claws instead of legs, but unfortunately no picture yet...
Tot slot heb ik nog een schattig klein tafeltje gevonden met klauwtjes als pootjes, helaas nog geen foto...

Shopping in pastels

During the summer break I had time enough to shop :). I wasn't looking for pastels, but I love them :).
Tijdens de zomervakantie heb ik ook lekker gewinkeld :). Ik was niet per se op zoek naar pastelkleurtjes, maar ik vind ze super :).

Don't you love these squirrels? With them I can cope with autumn arriving very quickly this year.

Schattig zijn deze eekhoorntjes, niet? Laat de herfst nu maar komen! Ik heb ze gekocht bij de Action, ik geloof dat ze 1,69euro per stuk waren.

Then this cute pink sign, now hanging in my "kitchen". I love how over the top sugery it looks :).

En ook dit bordje komt bij de Action vandaan. Mierzoet, maar in de keuken mag dat :).

And in the local gardening center I found these saucers on sale. Although I'm in love with my Pip saurces, I don't dare using them, so I use this :). They match great with my saucers with roses on the edge.
In het lokale tuincentrum vond ik deze schoteltjes in de uitverkoop. Hoewel ik mijn Pip schoteltjes super vind, durf ik ze nog niet echt te gebruiken, dus gebruik ik deze. Ze matchen heel leuk met mijn schoteltjes met roosjes aan de rand.

This flower hanger is handmade by Corianne. Last summer we went to her tea garden for a high tea (I will blog about that later on), and she sells al kind of handmade felted products under the name AnneMerlijn (http://www.annemerlijn.com/). I LOVE the color combination.
Deze bloemhanger is handgemaakt bij Corianne van AnneMerlijn (http://www.annemerlijn.com/). Afgelopen zomer hebben we gehightead in haar theetuin (daar zal ik later nog eens over bloggen), en zij verkoopt allerlei handgemaakte producten van vilt. Ik vind de kleurencombinatie van deze hanger geweldig :).

And finally this basket and the pink blanket, also on sale in a garden centre. Now almost all my blankets are in there and it looks very rustic :).
En tot slot deze gevlochten mand en de roze deken, ook in de uitverkoop in het tuincentrum. Bijna al mijn dekens passen er in en het ziet er heel landelijk uit :).
