Zpagetti!!

As I told before, I still had a ball of Zpagetti left because I didn't know how to work with it. Well in the mean time I totally got it, and here is the result:
First of all, the cushion to be... I only need to make the backside out of some fabric, but it already fits in very well with the rest of the cushions and the painting on the wall. 

 

Zoals ik al eerder zei, had ik nog een bol Zpagetti liggen, omdat ik niet wist hoe ik ermee moest werken. Welnu, in de tussentijd heb ik het helemaal door en hier is het resultaat:
Allereerst het kussen in wording ... Ik hoef alleen nog maar een achterkant te maken van een restje stof, maar hij past nu al heel goed bij de rest van de kussens en het schilderij aan de muur.

After the cushion, I still had some Zpagetti leftover, and on television I saw people making jackets for a vase and really liked the idea. No flowers yet to put in it, but it looks nice on his own.
Na het kussen, ik had nog Zpagetti over, en op tv zag ik mensen die "jasjes" om vazen heen maakten en dat leek mij ook wel een leuk idee. Nog geen bloemen om erin te zetten, maar het ziet er zo ook leuk uit.

And finally, a sort of basket, also made without a pattern. It's very usefull for loose clutter :).

En tot slot een  mandje, ook zonder patroon gemaakt. Het is erg handig voor losse rommeltjes :).

Spring is arriving!!!

My tulips are growing fast!  And one of them already has a pink flower! It's not blooming yet but it is cheerful :).
Mijn tulpjes groeien super! Een van hen heeft zelfs al een roze bloempje! Bloeien kan je het nog net niet noemen, maar hij is prachtig :).

The other tulips are also growing fast and starting to make flowers.
De andere bak groeit ook snel en ook hier begint al een bloempje in te komen.

So even while there is still snow laying around, spring will arrive! Although I do like the ice. It has been 2 years since the last time I skated, but last week I did it! Can't say I can do it very well, but I didn't fell down ;).

Dus zelfs nu er nog sneeuw ligt, is de lente al in aantocht! Alhoewel, ik vind het ijs wel leuk. Het is alweer twee jaar geleden sinds de laatste keer dat ik had geschaatst, maar vorige week heb ik het toch geprobeerd! Kan niet zeggen dat ik het heel goed kan, maar ik ben niet gevallen ;).

Yes! The first green little thing has shown up. I forgot what I had seeded where, but I guess this is tomato :). I hope the rest also will show up later on ;).
Ja! Het eerste groene dingetje is opgekomen. Heb niet precies onthouden wat ik waar had gezaaid, maar ik denk dat dit een tomatenplantje is :). Ik hoop dat de rest ook binnenkort op zal komen ;).

And finally this weekend, to relax I made some cupcakes. (There were five of them when I started...) Very easily made with a mixture of Dr Oetker, with all the decoration included. It's not ment for cupcakes but I really do like it :).
En tot slot heb ik dit weekend, om te ontspannen, ook nog een paar cupcakes gebakken. (Er waren er vijf toen ik begon ...) Super makkelijk gemaakt met een bakmix van Dr Oetker (kleintje taart), met alle versiersels er al bij. Het is niet bedoeld voor cupcakes maar ik vind ze wel leuk zo :).

Weekend work

Weekend is almost over again and a new week of working is waiting.
This weekend I made 6 more hexagons for my blanket, although it is not going very fast, it still is growing.

Het weekend is weer bijna voorbij en een nieuwe week van werken wacht.
Dit weekend heb ik nog 6 zeshoekjes voor mijn deken gehaakt. Het gaat nog steeds niet erg snel, maar hij groeit nog steeds.

The colors are not that cheerfully, but they balance out with the ones I already made. I especially like the one in pastel colors.

De kleuren zijn niet zo vrolijk, maar ze zijn prima in evenwicht met mijn andere zeshoekjes. Vooral de ene in pastelkleuren vind ik erg mooi geworden. 

I also have seeded some seeds already! This time I started with paprika, lettuce and tomatoes. I've seeded them in an old package of cake from the supermarket. It perfectly fits my window sill. I hope they will go growing soon :).

Ik heb ook al wat zaadjes gezaaid! Deze keer ben ik begonnen met paprika, sla en tomaten. Ik heb een oude verpakking van een kersenvlaai gebruikt als kasje want die past precies op mijn vensterbank. Ik hoop dat ze snel zullen gaan groeien :).

During the holidays I also planted some tulips. The garden centre (yes the one where I also bought these cake saucers) had then on sale because it's too late to plant them in the garden, but inside they grow beautifully as you can see! I'm expecting them to become pink :). 

Tijdens de kerstvakantie heb ik ook een paar tulpenbollen geplant. Het tuincentrum (ja dezelfde waar ik ook deze gebakschoteltjes heb gekocht) had ze in de uitverkoop omdat het te laat is om ze in de tuin te planten, maar binnen groeien ze prachtig zoals je kan zien! Als het goed is worden ze roze :).

And last but not least I decluttered another part of my students room. For this I coated an old shoebox with wrappingpaper. I'm very pleased with the result, it even looks a bit Pip-like, I think.

En last but not least, heb ik ook weer een deel van mijn studenten kamer "ontrommeld". Hiervoor heb ik een oude schoenendoos bekleed met pakpapier. Ik vind hem erg leuk geworden, zelfs een beetje Pip-achtig :).

Pip Studio

As I told in a previous post, I graduated for my Bachelor last year. As a gift from my family I got some money to buy something myself. As I'm in love with the tableware of Pip Studio since the moment I saw it, the choice wasn't very difficult :). Here are some pictures of it, although not al has been photographed yet ;). I like to combine it with other tableware. For instance the cake saucers in the first picture are from a garden centre! I think they match perfectly :). 

Zoals ik in een vorige post al vertelde, ben ik afgelopen jaar afgestudeerd voor mijn Bachelor. Als cadeau van mijn familie kreeg ik wat geld om zelf iets te kopen.  Aangezien ik verliefd werd op het Pip Floral Servies vanaf het moment dat ik het zag, was de keuze niet zo moeilijk :). Hier zijn wat foto's, hoewel niet alles al op de foto staat ;). Ik vind het leuk om het te combineren met ander servies. De gebakschoteltjes in de eerste foto bijvoorbeeld, die heb ik bij een tuincentrum gekocht! Ik vind dat ze perfect passen :).

The plates on this picture are from a recycle shop (no I didn't went again, I just hadn't shown them yet ;)).

De borden op deze foto komen van een kringloopwinkel (nee ik ben niet weer geweest, ik had ze gewoon nog niet laten zien ;)).

Then a question to all Pip-fans out there... 
I also have the blue teapot. I ordered this online and in the picture online, the upper halve of the spout was white and the lower part was blue. However when we unpacked mine, the whole spout was blue with dots, two white flowers and the Pip logo on it. I was very surprised about that, because I didn't know that there was more than one version of the blue teapot. I also saw that there is more than one version of the Khaki teapot. I understand that the teapot exists in 3 colors, but now my question: Why are there different versions in the same color????? Can anyone tell me that?

Dan een vraag aan alle Pip-fans...
Ik heb ook de blauwe theepot. Ik heb hem online besteld en op de foto was de bovenste helft van de tuit wit en de onderste helft was blauw. Maar toen we de mijne uitpakten bleek de hele tuit blauw met stipjes, twee witte bloemen en het Pip-logo erop. Ik was erg verbaasd, want ik wist niet dat er meer dan één versie van de blauwe theepot bestond. Ik had wel al eens gezien dat er meer dan een versie van de khaki theepot bestaat. Ik begrijp dat de theepot bestaat in 3 kleuren, maar nu is mijn vraag: Waarom zijn er verschillende versies in dezelfde kleur????? Kan iemand mij dit vertellen?
Hier een paar foto's van mijn theepot, helaas heb ik geen foto's van de andere variaties, maar die zijn te vinden op Google.

It took some time to get used to mine (I don't like surprises), but now I love it. Especially the little white flowers.

Het duurde even om aan de mijne te wennen (ik hou niet van verrassingen), maar nu vind ik hem geweldig. Vooral de kleine witte bloemetjes.
