Relax....

Long time no blogging... Unfortunately my study is demanding all my time and energy at the moment. So even during the weekends I have trouble to relax. Fortunately I can almost always crochet and that's what I've done.
Lang geleden dat ik heb geblogd... Mijn studie neemt op het moment al mijn tijd en energie in beslag. Dus zelfs in het weekend is het moeilijk om te ontspannen. Gelukkig kan ik onder bijna alle omstandigheden haken, dus dat heb ik gedaan.

Via Pinterest I found a garland of small, crocheted rounds made of left over yarn. I thought it looked cute and it gave me a chance to try out some new stiches. I'm now looking for beads to put on a string between them. The heart was made for a friend who is going to travel, pattern can be found here.
Via Pinterest vond ik een slinger van allemaal kleine, gehaakte rondjes van restjes wol. Dat zag er superleuk uit en gaf me gelijk de kans wat steken uit te proberen. Nu ben ik nog op zoek naar kraaltjes om ze mee aan een draad te rijgen. Het hartje heb ik gemaakt voor een vriendin die binnenkort op reis gaat, het patroon komt van hier.

My blanket probably looks familiar since I showed it multiple times. It is still not finished of and now I discovered it is already falling apart :(. However, I think this is just a beginners mistake (I cut the threads too short while finishing this hexagon), so I'm hoping it can be easily repaired.
Deze deken hebben jullie al vaker gezien. Hij is nog steeds niet helemaal afgewerkt maar hij begint toch al uit elkaar te vallen :(. Ik denk dat ik dit zeshoekje iets te strak afgewerkt had, dus ik hoop dat dit vrij simpel nog te verhelpen is.

I also went on with the paper birdhouses (the big ones, still saving the small ones for my internship). Cute hah!
Ik ben ook verder gegaan met de papieren vogelhuisjes van de Action (alleen de grote, de kleintjes bewaar ik om mee te nemen op stage). Schattig toch?

And finally I have them! The birdhouses out of MDF. Unfortunately the paper that came with it is way too tin, so I have to spray paint the houses white first and then I need to modge podge the paper on them. Will do that when I have some spare time ;).
En eindelijk heb ik ook de MDF vogelhuisjes van de Action. Helaas is het papier dat er bij zit heel erg dun, dus ik ga de huisjes eerst wit spuiten en dan beplakken met modge podge. Gelukkig was er op de facebook fan pagina van de Action al voor gewaarschuwd. (Wisten jullie dat de action een fanpage heeft? Staan superleuke knutselideeën op met Action spulletjes!) Dus als ik even tijd over heb ga ik weer verder met de vogel

Anyways, I think they are cute (I have two of them) and I'm sure they will become even cuter when they are finished.
Hoe dan ook, ik vind ze nu al schattig en ze worden vast mooi ;).

And to finish of with: My cherry tomato plant has tomatoes!!! Can't wait till they are ripe :).
En tot slot: Mijn cherrie-tomatenplant heeft tomaatjes!!! Ik kan niet wachten tot ze rijp zijn :).

Garden post

Last week we had a lot of rain and dreariness here in Holland. However before that, I had made some pictures of the garden :).
Afgelopen week was het weer erg somber en nat hier in Nederland. Gelukkig hebben we al wat mooi weer gehad en heb ik dus nog wat mooie plaatjes voor jullie :).

My mum bought this super cute butterfly house last year and the rose has decided to embellish it :).
Vorig jaar heeft mijn moeder dit schattige vlinderhuisje gekocht en dit jaar besloot de roos daar mooi omheen te gaan groeien :).

And yay its time to harvest!
En er kan al geoogst worden uit de tuin!

Ate them, they were delicious ;).
Ze zijn inmiddels op en waren heerlijk ;).

And of course some flowers.
En natuurlijk wat bloemen.

Also my Phlox is having buds! And my bean plant has little beans! And my paprika plant has a green-to-be-orange paprika! And the carrot leaves have become VERY big, wonder how the carrots look now... Have to make some more pictures as soon as the sun is back to stay ;).

Daarnaast staat ook mijn Phlox in knop! En de bonenstruik heeft kleine boontjes! En de paprikaplant heeft een groen-moet-nog-oranje-worden paprikaatje! En het groen van de wortels is ERG groot geworden, ben benieuwd hoe de wortels er uit zien... Ik moet maar wat meer foto's maken als de zon voorgoed terug is ;).

 

One that doesn't care whether the sun is shining or not, and not yet properly introduced....

My sweet, little rabbit Anne. She loves to be in the garden, play hide and seek, catch me if you can and sample plants here and there :D.

Iemand die het niet kan schelen of de zon nou wel of niet schijnt, en nog niet netjes voorgesteld is...

Mijn lieve, eigenwijze konijntje Anne. Ze vindt het geweldig om in de tuin te zijn, verstoppertje te spelen, heel hard weg te rennen en hier en daar een hapje te nemen :D.

For now I'm working on my hexagons, have stitched most of them together now :).

In de tussentijd ben ik bezig met mijn hexagons, ze zitten nu bijna allemaal aan elkaar :).

Cookies and tomatoes

Weekend is there and vacation is just around the corner. That calls for a celebration! Therefore I made these confetti cookies (recipe from here). I rather call them witch cookies because of all the colours.
Het is gelukkig weer weekend en ook de vakantie komt steeds dichter bij. Dat moet gevierd worden! Daarom heb ik deze confettikoekjes gemaakt (recept is in het engels). Ik vind het meer heksenkoekjes door al die kleurtjes.

Super zoals de kleurtjes van de Smarties door het deeg komen!

Also my tomatoeplat finally has started to make little tomatoes! Jay! It showed to be necessary to use a brush or so to fertilize the flowers :).
En eindelijk heeft mijn tomatenplant kleine tomaatjes! Jeej! Het was dus toch nodig om de bloempjes even aan te stippen met een kwastje :).

Summer treats and a very big plant!

Yes, summer is almost there and the best of summer already is available in the supermarket! Love it!
Ja, het is bijna zomer en een van de fijnste dingen aan de zomer is al beschikbaar supermarkt! Super!

Also, my tomato plant has grown a lot (yes the one I had seeded myself! See here, here and here). And now it isn't a little plant anymore :).

Daarnaast is mijn tomatenplantje aardig gegroeid (ja die ik zelf gezaaid heb! Zie hier, hier en hier.) en inmiddels geen klein plantje meer te noemen :).

It also already has little flowers, so I hope to have tomatoes at the end of summer!

Ook zitten er al bloemetjes in, dus ik hoop dat er eind van de zomer ook echt tomaten aan hangen!
